Summary
Yassen considers the intruder. The boy, really, as Yassen would be surprised if he was even twenty, is fair, with a square, handsome face and blonde hair that swept down over his forehead. Blood trailed from a split lip, but otherwise he appeared mostly unharmed, even with his hands zip-tied behind his back. It was Yassen’s people who had seemingly come out the worse, and while that was certainly annoying, more than anything else it intrigued him.

Summary
He freezes at the feel of the knife’s tip touching his back. It’s too much like their first meeting, with Alex able to feel Yassen, but unable to see him, and more importantly, unable to see where the pain would be coming from next. He forces himself to lay still. Experience has taught that Yassen has too much control to be careless, particularly with a weapon in his hand, but there’s no use in tempting fate. With a blade pressed against his spine, Yassen could do a lot of damage.
“You know how I feel about your light fingers, though.”
