So when he takes his leap of faith, and decides nobody cares, he misses the one person able to put him back together, even if he screams his name.

Here’s what he’s learned, as he sits at his father’s grave.
The universe waits for no one. It is a cacophony of cries and suffering and “what-ifs” and in no reality will Miles learn to master it.
But if the universe wanted to mess him up,
Miles knew exactly how to mess it up right back.
