Summary
"Shh. I've got you," Dick said. He'd mourned Jason once. He'd be damned if he ever had to do it again. "I've fucking got you, okay? It's you and me. Okay? I've got you."
On a rainy night in Gotham, Jason comes to Dick's door. He brings an unwanted visitor.
Jason could not stop for Death, so it kindly stopped for him.

Summary
When Dick finished with the stitches, he covered them with clean gauze, then leaned forward and kissed his handiwork.
"There," he said. "All better."
It was a silly gesture, like crossing your heart to make a promise. Only…Jason…liked that he'd kissed his wound to make it better. He liked that Dick had fussed over him; that he had wanted to help and heal and complain loudly at him that he should be more careful.
He even liked having Dick in his apartment. In his space. He should have hated it.
Only…
He didn't. In fact, Jason wanted him to come by more.
He was a fucking idiot.
When Jason fantasized about playing doctor with Dick Grayson, this is not what he had in mind.

Summary
"Stay there," Jason growled. It gave Dick pause and he frowned. What was bothering him, exactly? It hit him suddenly and he wanted to laugh. Jason had given the command in French.
"Stay?" Dick replied, but he kept it in English, thank you very much. A reminder of where Jason had been while he was away from him—leaving Dick to sleep alone without him—was unwanted.
"Oh, yes. The view is nice. I've been away too long. Counted the minutes until I could see that ass." Jason swearing in French was titillating somehow.
Dick tilted his head to the side.
"French?" he said. "You're hitting on me in French? You've come back from France and now you're forcing me to remember French?"
"You speak it, why not?" Jason said.
Jason and Dick lead dangerous lives. They make their new relationship work. Somehow. But Jason's life is made more dangerous by his intimate proximity to Death. His time on the other side changed him in troubling, fascinating ways.
Dick learns a terrible truth the hard way: the dead can speak. Sometimes, those nearest to them are able to listen. What the dead say could spell disaster for Gotham, and possibly the whole world.
