Summary
"Perhaps it isn't my business, but I have to admit, I'm surprised you aren't seeking comfort with that Sharran- or perhaps the vampire." The knowing gleam in Abdirak's eye reflects how utterly obvious that particular revelation had been in hindsight, but V is a bit too distraught right now to dwell on it. "Far be it from me to question Her design. Fate has delivered you into my hands, so I will be the one to take care of you."
...
The Dark Urge flees from camp, terrified of what he might do if he remains there for the night amidst his sleeping companions. Out of his mind with bloodlust, he finds himself in the hands of the Loviatar priest once more.

Summary
“How unfortunate.” Astarion gives a long sigh, without even a hint of disappointment. V looks like he might strangle him right there. “I suppose there truly is nothing else you can offer our dear V.”
Abdirak turns abruptly, startling even Astarion as he takes his hand in a dramatic grip, “I’ve already told you, if you’re willing to be taken by the sensory, we are in the perfect place for deeper exploration!” He releases Astarion to throw his hands high to the ceiling, savoring every word. “Every nerve, burning, singing, exposed!”
...
Astarion and V encounter Abdirak in the myconid colony, where he guides them on a journey through the sensory- perhaps helping to alleviate some baggage along the way.

Summary
"You thrashed. You fought. You were indomitable."
All this time searching for the truth, and now he cowers in the face of it. He wants to run. He's compromised, violated down to his core. It makes him want to plunge himself headfirst back into madness and forget all over again. It didn't start with what that necromancer had done to him, and it wouldn't end. It would only get worse from here, some part of him instinctively knows.
...
A more fleshed out take on Dark Urge's encounter with Kressa Bonedaughter and the fallout of it, as Astarion and Abdirak try to bring him back to reality.

Summary
Abdirak had told him once that healing magic could be used to prolong torment, that it was as much of an implement of torture as any other tool, possibly even more sinister when utilized properly. V had never doubted him, and he finds himself fascinated as those fingers move through him, feeling along his insides, prodding him and producing more of those intoxicating sparks along his nerves.
“Fuck me,” he manages out, forehead dropping to Abdirak's shoulder. The priest chuckles at his expense.
“I think I might impale you a few more times, yes.”
...
The Dark Urge comes to Abdirak for comfort and clarity once again.

Summary
“I will make another who is worthy.”
V's body jerks like some invisible force had seized it, lifting off the floor. He arches back with a cry, and Astarion's world comes to a standstill as half a dozen phantom blades pierce through his flesh. They seem to emerge from V's own blood, until he's a mirror image of that ghastly butler.
Then Bhaal releases him, a puppet with its strings cut. V falls back to the floor with a dull thud. unmoving, as if he was worth less than garbage. That was it then. V was dead and there was nothing anyone could have done to stop a dark god from striking him down
(Somewhat of an alternate take on the scene where Bhaal kills the Dark Urge.)

Summary
“I want to know the same comfort V has found in the Maiden.” That, he thinks, is the truth, at least.
Abdirak pulls back, expression neutral as he holds his gaze. “But you don't trust it.”
“How could I?” The sheer resentment that claws its way up from somewhere deep and dark surprises even Astarion. It rips through his blasé facade before he can get a handle on it, pressing on wounds he'd thought had long scarred over. “Prayer is the only time I've gotten on my knees and not seen results.”
...
Abdirak and V help Astarion contend with his past - through penance.
