As always, it starts with the phone call, elaborate plans, follow the script. Break and prepare again for the next. Years later no one's the wiser and the cycle continues.... Head down, keep up the act, and continue. Don't even bat an eye. Survive.
Instead of the next loser nobody (that no one would ever miss of course), he says this one's "different". "Special". Very important to follow through for some reason she doesn't care to listen or know about. But when she shows up on autopilot mode during a stormy night for her normal opening act, she almost immediately knows somethings off and for the first time in a while risks faltering. And while firmly under HIS thumb and constant surveillance by their original victims, survival is no longer the most challenging task she has to face. And suddenly Mike Schmidt isn't the only one she's trying to keep in the dark and put a front on for. For the first time in years (maybe ever) she's starting to question and challenge everything she's ever known and stood for. And maybe discover even more she was never aware of.(Inspired more closely by the movie novel, told from everyone else's POV, esp the Murder Family.)
