This is an Empires/Hermitcraft AU I've been cooking for a few months now! :D

One after the other the knighthood and oceankin statuses are gifted, now the Ocean Queen is surrounded by three strangers: Gem of Crystal Cliffs, Pearl of Gilded Helianthia and Cleo of Hermitopia.
Fortunately, after a rather rough start, the day has lightened up, thanks to the fireworks and the comfort of her gardens, she's now enjoying the party.
The night passes in between chatting, eating and bantering with her emperor friends as the knights watch closely, coming to their own conclusions.

Worried and suspicious of their weird interactions, Pearl and Gem approach Cleo and cause a scene.
At night, calmer but restless Gem visits the Queen in her chambers.
They talk deep and tender, as one brushes the other's hair, then an enormous revelation is dropped on Gem's head, making her heart flutter like her butterfly wings as she flees the room with a burning face and more knowledge than she was prepared to receive.

Sunday is finally here: on the last day of the Flowering Azalea Festival, the Ocean Empire celebrates the start of their rule with the Cherry Blossom Ball.Queen Lizzie receives presents, people and a rollercoaster of emotions.
At the party, Cleo and the Queen share a dance, Gem accepts a drinking contest that brings forth some deeply hidden truths and anger, until it all finally spills out on the floor, just like her blood.
The night ends with great success.

And so red curtains close on this arc of the story, allowing the characters to leave and explore the world on their journey to visit all of the Empires.Series

Summary
From June to August, we follow Queen Lizzie's life as she works for the realisation of the White Dove Peace Treaty with the other empires.
We open our eyes on the Queen bathing in her Ocean, as she ponders over myths and folklore, then watch as she receives royal mail, good news.
We see her welcome the new Ambassadors, Lady Pearl, Earl Cleo and Dame Gem, to the Accolades to become royal knights and Oceankin.
They seal the Olive Branch Ceremony with a good evening amongst friendly emperors and strangers.We stare as she suffers from divine madness and falls to nightmarish episodes, real and sleep induced, mocked then comforted by the Prophecy Pamphlet, healed by her new court witch.
In-between the continuous jealousy, arguing and bad history between previous home empires - wars, blood, death - , we see them hang, have fun and enjoy the festivals, the food, the company, dancing and finally, we see them bond, lonely as they are, looking for friendship.
We observe as cracks form, gold fills them continuously.
We watch them leave. We watch Lizzie leave her home.
