Summary
Kaveh may be an architect, and he may be more skilled in mathematics compared to Alhaitham. But Alhaitham uses mathematics in ways Kaveh often doesn’t— where Kaveh sees the world in aesthetics and colours, Alhaitham sees it in logic and numbers.
Or maybe it’s just Alhaitham’s method to soothe his dented pride. He isn’t jealous, not in the slightest. Nope, not at all.

Summary
Alhaitham sits on the floor of the living room sometimes, his back flat against the divan, and he stares at the walls and shelves that decorate the space. He sometimes sits there, waiting for someone, and he sits there and wonders for a long time where that person is.
But when his roommate’s voice fills the space, he reminds himself that that person has long passed, and all he’s waiting for is the memories to turn into moments again.

Summary
“What colours do you like?”
“Green, Black, Silver, Red.”
“Red? That’s odd.” Alhaitham agrees, it is odd that he likes red. “Is it because it goes well with green? They’re complementary cololurs after all.”
Maybe. Red reminds him of a lot of things; it’s a passionate colour that blazes to a final destination. It’s a colour that reminds him of perseverance and ambition. It’s a colour that burns the holder, and often engulfs him in flames of his own ideals.
“I suppose.” Red goes well with blond.

Summary
On the surface, Alhaitham is not the kind of person people would think to enjoy art. He seems logical, and rational. Though his Darshan is arguably more humanistic than others, he still enjoys the logic of it all.
Yet, he goes to many museums and lets Kaveh frame his work on their walls. Walls, which Alhaitham sometimes paints on. Strokes of colour; lines which sometimes run rough; paint that drips from the excess.
It’s cathartic.

Summary
A common adage is that people who are meant to be in your life will always find a way to stay, no matter how. How then do you explain when a person changes your whole life? How do you begin to process when someone has entered your life and dyed it with their gaze? When you can’t go an hour without thinking about them, or visit a shop without reminiscing the memories?
Kaveh doesn’t quite know the answer to that, but he does know that the house is lonely without his reflection. His person. His reason. His muse. They say muses are the source of an artist’s inspiration, but if you asked Kaveh, he’d tell you that his muse had dyed his life with more than just inspiration.

Summary
Visual language and spoken language don’t always intersect, but there are a few rare cases in which they do; one of those rare cases being in the art of lip reading.
Kaveh has never been particularly proficient at lip reading—and why would he? He spends much of his life devoted to technology and numbers, he considers the fact that he understands more than a handful of languages a semi-impressive feat on its own. His partner on the other hand is much, much more proficient than he ever could be.
But there is a phrase which Kaveh recognises and can read with ease. And it is a phrase he never gets tired of feeling, hearing and seeing.
