Summary
As the Dwarves continued to sing, Bilbo picked up the contract, staring at the blank space beneath Thorin and Balin’s names. He felt a rustle of wind in his hair and looked up. The study window was cracked open slightly and a breeze wafted in, bringing the scent of the hyacinths growing in the window box. Bilbo knew, as all Hobbits did, that it was an east wind blowing and he remembered the song Gandalf hummed that morning.
In which Gandalf introduces Bilbo Baggins to Thorin Oakenshield and his Company.
