Summary
Living in a world of oppression and decay, Berach couldn't just stand by. Alrest was dying and yet imperialism was throttling everything good that still existed. Someone had to stand up, someone had to say no. He was going to bring the people up, no matter the destruction that would result. It would be worth the shattering of the chains. No one would stop him or the Forevermore Roots. Not the Special Inquisitor of Mor Ardain, not the Prince of Tantal, not the worthless remnants of Torna, not his traitorous, wonderful best friend....and certainly not the Aegises. No power proved worthy, no crowns, no saints, no Architect, no angels. Life would prevail against this rot forevermore.
Follow Air Commander Berach and his comrades, through confrontations of Alrest's best and worst, to the final wish of sunken and forgotten Titan Coiea's people and the endless night that threatens to consume all Alrest,....though perhaps an old friend can settle his wrathful soul before he goes down a path he cannot escape from. Not alive at least.
