Summary
“I want us to do a roleplay.”
There was a pregnant moment of silence before Light spoke, tasting the foreign word on his tongue.
“A roleplay?” Light asked with reservation dripping from each syllable.
“I will be L and you will be Kira,” L continued as if he couldn't sense the weariness in the way Light responded.
“You are L.”
“If I do this, are you going to stop accusing me of being Kira?” It's a valid question and gives L a moment of thought.
“Yes,” L lied easily.
And then L squeezed, applying the pressure around Light's hand, cutting off his own airway. Light’s eyes darkened in the glow of the light.

Summary
He hadn't meant for it to happen. In fact, he swore to himself he would never let it happen again. Maybe he had been a little naive before to the sorts of games L liked to play, but he understood clearly now that L was a very chaotic neutral person. After the first time, Light could barely look at L in the same way anymore without getting flashbacks. His eyes kept trailing to L's neck and his mind wouldn't bat an eyelash in conjuring up the dark purple bruises in the shape of Light's fingers.
L had to wear a scarf, inside, for a week before the bruises finally began to fade— and when they did, Light felt a pang of longing to feel L’s threads pulse beneath his fingers once more. But every time he looked at L his face would burn. Every time he looked at that scarf he’d feel himself growing hard.
Yet somehow, he was not entirely able to discern how they ended up in this exact same position weeks later.
Well, not the exact same position.

Summary
“Do you trust me, L?”
The question catches him off guard– maybe because this is something Light should be easily able to answer for himself. L tries in a vain attempt to piece together what game Light is playing at but feels unsuccessful in his thought-pattern.
“I’m not sure you’ve given me a reason to trust you, Light.” L shoves his hands into his jean pockets, hunching over more as he does so. His eyes are trained on the floor, the walls, anywhere but Light’s form leaning effortlessly against the elevator wall as the announcement of each floor dings above them in the quiet of the small space.
“Maybe I could give you one,” Light says, slipping his hand into his back pocket. What’s removed is far from what L could have ever anticipated. The fabric looks impossibly soft, black gleaming satin falling smoothly between Light’s fingers. L’s eyes snap onto Light’s, the coy smirk dancing on the other boy’s features as Light takes a step towards L.
