Summary
It’s just that she couldn’t stand it, seeing him there on that small pedestal at this ghastly party, offered up for a night’s pleasure to anyone who could pay. True, the only time she’d spoken to him before, he’d been cruel to her, turning her away with scorn, but then that next day, when he’d fought in the arena, he had saluted her with his sword. A strange gesture she had not understood, anymore than she understood why her father had been searching for this man. But he was proud and strangely noble for all that, this northern barbarian, and Sansa had sensed that being sold in this way would break something in him that even all his time in the arena could not, and so, mask firmly in place (and oh, how she had thanked the gods that Margaery had made this a masked party), she had paid for a night with this gladiator, more to save him from anyone else than to enjoy him herself.
But now they are alone in a bedchamber and her mask is off, and he is watching her in such an odd way that she doesn’t know what to do or say. What to think even.

Summary
"Lady Sansa, the Northman, champion of the arena. Northman, my betrothed.“
"Domina,” Jon murmurs, bowing slightly, his eyes downcast.
Sansa lets her gaze flick briefly to him, hoping no one can see her heart hammering in her throat. Domina, he calls her. He has called her that before, said that word the first day she met him. But just yesterday, she was sweet girl as she writhed beneath his touch on his narrow bed.

Summary
After, he doesn’t ask if she’ll stay. He doesn’t want to present even the possibility that she could leave. Instead he merely kneels behind her and begins to dismantle the intricate architecture of her hair with the gentlest fingers he can manage.
“You mustn’t,” she says, her voice softened by the remnants of desire. But she makes no move to stop him. And so Jon pulls carefully at the braids and knots and twists of her hair, the strands like cool silk in his hands.

Summary
“Show me how to kill a man,” she breathes when they part, and the words are so at odds with the warm pleasure in her voice that Jon is momentarily taken aback.
“Why do you wish to learn how to do that?” he asks, and her gaze, when it meets his is steady.
“You’ve been around Joffrey,” she replies. “Do you honestly need to ask?”
Only moments before his heart had hammered from the taste of her mouth. Now, it hammers with fear, and his blood seems to run cold. She is so strong, perhaps the strongest woman he’s ever met, steel and silk wrapped together, but there is only so much even a woman like Sansa can do against a monster like Joffrey.

Summary
Sometimes he still thinks of her as she was that first night she came here, dripping in silks and jewels, hair twisted in an intricate sculpture atop her head. At the time, he’d hated her for her silks and jewels, hated what he’d seen as a clear symbol of the power she’d held over him. Jon had seen rich, beautiful women come to Mars Street before, seeking gladiators to warm their beds, and rage had always filled him at the sight. Wasn’t it enough, he’d thought time after time, that they were slaves, animals to be used for nothing but the bloodiest of entertainment? Were they meant to be whores as well?
Jon has sneered at those men who’d gone to noble ladies beds, thinking them weak.
But now, as he watches Sansa dress, he thinks he understands them better.

Summary
He seems to like it when she’s in gold and jewels. Nothing but gold and jewels.
Not that he doesn’t seem to like her in all ways; Sansa’s experience may be a bit limited, but she can tell when a man desires her, and there has not been a state of dress or undress that hasn’t made Jon look at her with frank appreciation and need. Wrapped toe to chin in palla and stola or entirely bare, or anywhere in between, Jon has responded to her with equal fervor. But there seems to be something unhinged in him when she wears only ornaments, something primal and barely leashed.

Summary
“What were you thinking?” she hisses, pointing one ringed finger at him, and Jon is surprised to feel his temper flare. He’s never gotten angry with her, not since the first time she came to his cell and his insulted her out of a mix of rage and desire. Ever since she came to his bed, he’s treated her as gently as he knows how. He doesn’t always succeed in this when they make love, but then she’s always liked roughness there, urging him on with heels at the back of his thighs or tugs on his hair. But that’s different. That’s passion, not anger, and it is anger he feels at her now.

Summary
“Sansa,” he breathes, fervently this time, all trace of pique gone from his voice. Still she keeps her chin down, her eyes artfully lowered, but slowly parts her thighs, letting him see more and more of her as her hand continues to move. She half expects him to bolt across the room to her, his mouth and hands stopping her self-induced pleasure, but he makes no move. Knowing that he wants to watch her is violently exciting in a way she hadn’t expected. Other men’s eyes on her make her feel ill, even when she’s fully clothed. Jon’s eyes on her make her feel like her entire body is aflame, her blood like molten lava flowing through her veins.

Summary
A bloom of heat rises from Sansa’s chest as she thinks of the past few weeks. Her life in Rome is so rigid, so…proper that even the afternoons she has spent in Jon’s cell have felt almost scheduled. But here, in her tiny villa by the sea, only a handful of servants, no Joff, no watchful court, no whispers and schemes, every day bleeds together in a sensual haze. To be able to sleep next to Jon every night, to make love with him any time and any place she desires…oh, it’s been a heady freedom, and one she has taken every advantage of.
