Nanami Kento has been having a shit day. Gojo was sealed, a host of curses invaded Shibuya, and then he died in front of Itadori. Or, well, he thinks that's what happened. To be honest, he's not so sure anymore.

Maybe it’s all the blood—from civilians, no less—coating his skin, embedded under his nails, tasting of iron in his mouth and down his throat. The bodies scattered around him are mangled beyond belief. His blunt sword had done a lot of damage, but the torn throats spell a different end—Nanami hadn’t realized his teeth were so sharp, nor his jaw so strong.
Maybe it’s the fact that Shibuya is no longer swarming with curses, and Gojo hasn't been sealed, but there’s still an incessant buzzing in his ears, an itch under his skin, a burning in his core that won’t let up. Nanami doesn’t feel right, and Gojo must see that with his Six Eyes.
Maybe it’s that when Nanami looks at the man he trusts, he too sees a stranger. There’s something different about Gojo that he can’t quite parse, but it screams safety and smells like home, even in all its unfamiliarity.

Summary
Nanami is very confused. He’s just had the worst day of his life, and now he’s being told that nobody remembers him and he’s something called an “omega” experiencing his “heat.”
..
Heat is miserable, Nanami decides.
It makes him short-tempered and irritable. He's like a baby, unable to communicate his needs in anything other than indistinguishable cries.
The first day finds Nanami buried under a mountain of blankets, wishing sleep would claim him. Instead, he finds himself trying to sweat out the fever and muffle the wails that keep pouring from his throat.

Summary
Instead of dying in Shibuya, Nanami has been sucked into the omegaverse. After three months of adjusting, he experiences his second ever heat. Gojo helps him out.

Nanami had woken up in a puddle of his own slick, nape and wrists and thighs swollen and itchy. Overworked scent glands producing an abundance of pheromones to attract a mate, Shoko had explained. Nanami still isn’t used to it all, the overwhelming smells that comprise an instinctual and basal language. Misery had been his only companion during that first and disorienting heat, over-stimulated and overly sensitive and so confused about the abrupt changes to the world and his body.
He's determined to not let this one be the same.
