Screamed and screamed until his vocal cords would buckle and shatter under the strain, and his voice would peter off to pathetic whimpers and wet gurgles. The ground below heaves, as if puffing and huffing with boiling smoke. Everything is red. Everything burns. Slick, ruptured skin oozes pus. The stench of blood is thick, stale dust and burnt flesh curling under his nose like sneers. It threatens to tear him apart, his chest twisting and reeling. His skin burns, is slick, gold leaking from various cracks. Words ring in his ears,
