Summary
In Clusters of Blue, Belladonna intercepted Bilbo and Thorin's meeting beneath the Party Tree. Thorin did not meet his One that night. But, what if Belladonna had not discovered the note in Bilbo's room?
This fic will explore what might have happened if Bilbo had succeeded in meeting Thorin that night.

Summary
Alternate ending for Chapter 8 of Clusters of Blue. Bilbo struggles with his determination to reveal himself to his Heartsong, but his courage ultimately fails him, leaving Thorin heartbroken and angry. Unable to bear the guilt, Bilbo follows Thorin back to his camp. One drunken, reckless decision leads to another, putting their soul bond to the test as the consequences of that fateful night come to light some months before Bilbo's coming of age.
[For the purpose of this story, Hobbit ages convert to approximate Human equivalents as follows: 30 hobbit years ≈ 18 human years; 33 hobbit years ≈ 21 human years]
