Description:

Greg Lestrade had never considered cheating on his wife, even though she was cheating on him. But when he met Mycroft Holmes, the older brother of the consultant he was taking on, it was an instant attraction. He eventually concedes to his feelings for Mycroft and begins an affair with him while he tries to figure out a way out of his marriage and still get custody of his daughter. With the weight Mycroft can throw around behind him, he starts to plot a new life for him and his daughter...and Mycroft, too.

Notes:

Starts pre-series with a mutual attraction that is not acted upon until around "The Great Game," and in "A Scandal In Belgravia," when Sherlock brings up the fact Lestrade's wife is cheating on him, he has know idea Lestrade is currently in a relationship with his brother. After "The Reichenbach Fall," where Lestrade gets his divorce and moves himself and his daughter in with Mycroft during the time between "The Reichenbach Fall" and "The Empty Hearse." Canon goes pretty much as usual, except the forced love confession between Sherlock and Molly doesn't happen quite the same way because Sherlock is already involved with Irene and has been since he was taking down Moriarty's criminal empire, so Molly and Irene talk and decide both of them are going to date Sherlock at the same time, and then the series continues post-canon.
