Mrs. Bellevue chuckled. “Oh, you’re a bragger, huh? My husband can be the same way.”
“Oh, did you and your husband work together? Or I guess he could be a teacher here.”
Mrs. Bellevue appeared lost again, blinking at Buck. “I’m sorry?”
“Well, I brag about Eddie being my partner… I assumed that’s what you were talking about?”
