Summary
Roman (Michael Fassbender) and Xylos (James McAvoy) are cosmic partners with special powers, who live their lives over and over again in the guise of human beings (usually). Each time they’re born and develop normally (usually), then become aware of their powers and memories as they get older—along with the powerful desire to find one another. This is their punishment for a crime they’ve committed, though their origins are mysterious.
Inspired by MF and JM’s various movie roles, and particularly by the pairing between them in X-Men First Class.
Beginning: Roman is on trial for the destruction he caused when humans abducted his partner, Xylos. If guilty, his verdict will be banishment to Earth, for as long as it takes him to learn compassion for humans. So probably a very long time.

(Michael Fassbender played Guy Fawkes in a miniseries called Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.)
