Summary
The beautiful, dangerous metropolis of Twisted is a well-known circuit of crime. Despite it being one of the most populated cities in the world, there’s an air of mystery surrounding it.
The locals refuse to leave, despite the overwhelming problems the city faces, for whatever reason. Outsiders dare not step into the crime-infested grounds of the city borders out of fear of being caught up in the insanity. The only information the rest of the world knows about Twisted is the information that the citizens themselves provide.
Everyone knows that Twisted is one of the most technologically advanced cities in the world; it has the highest crime rate in the world; the daily attacks that plague the city are, to put it simply, crazy.
But why do the citizens stay? Why do they put up with this? Well, that’s what the outsiders don’t understand about Twisted.
They are loyal to their city.
So no matter how messed up, how corrupt, how destroyed the city is—the citizens of Twisted will always stay.

Summary
Ace looks up at the hole that he and Sebek had fallen down. If this were any other city, they probably would have been able to climb out in some way or another.
But no, they were unfortunate enough to live in Twisted, meaning that even the walls are covered in some suspiciously glowing substance.
Huh. I wonder if that’s where the crocodiles got their mutation from.
(or: during a fight, ace and sebek find themselves stuck in the sewers. with both of them having lost their grappling hooks, all they can really do is fight about who is to blame for this. and also avoid the mutant crocodiles, but that’s less important. part of my vigilantes!first years au!)

Summary
Silver doesn’t use his Dream Journal often, as most of his narcolepsy dreams aren’t harmful in any way, and his therapist had said that if he doesn’t feel like he needs it, then he doesn’t have to use it. Silver has been dealing with his narcolepsy as long as he can remember, so it really is just a part of his life that he’s learned to accept.
But this dream he just had…something in Silver’s subconscious is screaming ‘abnormal’ at him. As if there’s something special about it. And so, for the first time in years, he opens up his Dream Journal and writes down everything he remembers.
It’s probably nothing, Silver tells himself. I’m just writing it down. I’ll look back on it later and laugh. Maybe I’ll even tell Sebek about it.

Everyone pauses, waiting for Poison Apple to speak up.
Yuu’s heart rate spikes. “Poison Apple?” he demands, his volume raising slightly. “Poison Apple, where are you?”
Silence.
