Summary
Rubbing at his optics—irritated from the bright white flash of the security camera powering up—Bumblebee continued his pace around the solitary confinement cell. He counted every step as he walked around the perimeter for want of anything better to do. Still twenty steps total, just the same as the first lap he took.
With reports coming in hot from Cybertron Space Command regarding unexpected attacks on Autobot maintenance ships on the outskirts of the Commonwealth's territory, Optimus Prime and his crew aren't as careful as they should have been. As a result, Bumblebee and Ratchet are captured, separated, and threatened with...nothing.
At least, they haven't threatened Bumblebee with anything. As far as he knows, anyhow.

Summary
Her memory from before she woke up alone and without Ratchet on the ship was blurry to the point of fabrication. Sari vaguely recalled that the bots were planning on leaving Earth and her, and no matter how hard she threw a tantrum about it they were set on abandoning everything. The very last thing she remembered was attempting to sabotage the ship and… bumping into the Allspark with her key.
The Allspark may have been the source of all life on Cybertron... but it had been missing for hundreds of thousands of stellar cycles. For as powerful of an artifact as it was, it abided by select limitations. To ask something so specific of it as to heal mechanisms that it had no knowledge on... To create a Cybertronian was a complex process. To impart autonomy and a spark full of life a delicate dance.
To accidentally corrupt one was a far easier procedure. Especially when provided with faulty data.

Summary
The child schema worked best on the mini-Autobots, their size contributing to their carefully designed 'safe' cues. A double-edged sword, the miniature Cybertronians often faced discrimination not applied to their larger counterparts. Easier to dismiss the concerns of a mini-Autobot because they were just so cute, no? And as with most things associated with children, ultimately not taken seriously. Were the majority of them not dead, Croft suspected they would have shed the infantile designs in favor of ones that accurately conveyed their full capabilities as machines for war.
Bumblebee likely didn't get the memo.
Or; in a world where Optimus leaves out more than a few crucial details... and where Bumblebee is a little less careful... GHOST finds him long before the Terrans are born.

Reaching out, Lord Megatron grasped him within his clawed servo. Pliant, he allowed the superior mech to handle him however he pleased. The less he resisted, the faster the moment would pass. He was just a toy to the possessive older mech, but even sparklings knew not to hold on so tight lest they break their playthings.
Or; as a nameless Autobot traitor, the mech briefly known as Bumblebee attempts to traverse his new role as a Decepticon scout with varying results.

Turning the disc between his digits—and wow, it looked so much smaller in comparison, almost like a grain of gravel—Sentinel flipped it up. B's spark skipped a beat, to which he quelled the instinctive urge to leap forward and catch it. Before it could fall to the ground and potentially break, Sentinel snatched it out of the air.
Noticing his mounting anxiety, Sentinel asked, "Worried? Don't be! It's in good hands."

Summary
The hologram reached out to grab his avatar's hands, telling Breakdown that Bee didn't mean for him to turn on his engine and inch closer to his parked cab. He played along, directing his hands up to hold on. He wasn't sure of Bee's next move and so paid close attention to the scene playing out behind him. 'Pulling' Breakdown onto the table so that they could sit next to one another, Bumblebee curled a hand around the back of his head.
Guiding him to the crook of his neck, Breakdown's nose met the fake skin of the scout. His eyebrows twitched as he flicked his avatar's eyes back and forth, not understanding what Bee wanted him to do.
Or; in a world where Bumblebee officially goes AWOL, he confides in Breakdown. If only for a day.

He specialized in heavy shipments, the kind that would slow Bumblebee to a stop if he even attempted to ferry them over to the Decepticon outposts. "And sometimes he would share it before we turned in for the night."
Invested in his story, Mo shifted so that they could sit face to face. Rocking back, she grabbed her heels and excitedly asked, "What kind of poetry?"

Summary
While the Prime knew what he got out of revisiting the Great War as obsessively as he did, he privately wondered why Bumblebee also had a fascination for the propaganda films. From what Bulkhead had recounted about the mini from their brief time in bootcamp prior to the attack, Bee didn't have a strong appetite for studying. And certainly he didn't care to research their past victory against the Decepticons to ensure he learned from their mistakes, thus bettering his training.
Prowl suggested he probably stood beside Optimus, waiting to see if he could find a familiar face amongst the grainy film.
Or; after Bumblebee successfully catches Shockwave in the act of contacting Megatron that day, the Decepticon ensures that the bumbler won't be able to tell anyone what he saw.

A hush fell over the small group as they all turned to watch his approach. Ratchet twisted his frame away from Bumblebee entirely while Optimus brought a servo up to his neck cables.
Or; there's a lot that the Autobots need to discuss amongst themselves in the wake of Megatron's revival and the kidnapping of Professor Sumdac.

He had heard rumors about abandoned mining shafts and waste systems from the olden-days of Cybertron. Hidden and discarded much like he was, they hadn't been used in centuries. A lingering wound prior to prosperity, Bumblebee recalled the Magnus commenting in educational videos. With no bot daring to come all the way down here, they proved an excellent cage for Shockwave to ensnare him in.
Or; Fearing discovery and wanting to seclude Bumblebee from all others, Shockwave kidnaps him. Trapping him down in the deepest depths of Cybertron, Bumblebee struggles to secure his freedom.

He zoomed in and looked for critical damage first. Rust, improper welds, things of that sort. Glad to find a lack of maroon rash or even puncture damage, Ratchet leaned back. Glancing up at Bumblebee for an answer, he found that the young bot had grown distant.
"It's hard to walk I guess," he said eventually. "Like… If I'm not careful they'll pop right off."
Or; after Wasp and Ironhide removed his lower legs during their time at boot camp, Bumblebee goes to Ratchet for help with his residual pain from the event.

Prowl could have missed all the signs pointing to the possession were he not attuned to the ebbing flow of a spark's nature. Bumblebee's spark tasted like a playful shock, airy and floating without a care. This thing reeked of acid, suffocating and pushing the spark so far down that it honestly should have snuffed itself out.
Or; in a desperate bid to save the future, Bumble Prime manages to go back in time with the sole goal of killing Blackarachnia before she can even begin to experiment with creating Predacons. Unfortunately, this one-way trip requires a stable frame... and Bumblebee's the only one that would be spark compatible with his own.

When Bumblebee didn't react, lips pressing even tighter together as he stared off into a daze, Breakdown forced a smile upon his face. "C'mon Bee, you gotta fuel up."
Or; against his better judgement, Bumblebee circled back around to try and save Breakdown from capture at the hands of GHOST. Months later, Breakdown now has to try and save Bumblebee from the imprints left on him from their time spent incarcerated.

Back when Sari was smaller, she had climbed and sat on Bee's chassis enough to get an up close and personal look at the screens that served as his eyes. It was kinda cool and gross to look directly at the bright LED but what stood out most of all was the small dead pixel in his lower right eye. Sari could barely see it when standing next to him and looking up at his face, but when hugging his face she always noticed its presence.
Or; Bumblebee sells out Optimus during Megatron's trial and is rewarded with Elite Guard status, but in return loses his friendship with the others.

Outraged, muffled grunts spat from Bumblebee's vocalizer. Shockwave ignored him. He pulled away from the bound Autobot and walked over to the overtaken computer terminal he had commandeered once joining his lord aboard Omega Supreme. The programming running on it happily confirmed that the branding iron was not only ready for application, but the virus he had installed was primed and waiting for infection.
Or; in trying to plant the transmitter on the moon, Bumblebee gets caught by Shockwave.
