Summary
Desmond was ready to sacrifice himself to save the world.
...but god, he didn't want to die.
When he activates the device in the depths of the Grand Temple, however, he finds himself hanging in a strange void, with thousands of gold threads trailing off in every direction. In desperation, Desmond starts to climb one of the threads, hoping it will help him escape his fate. Anything would be better than dying, right?
Wait. Why is he now in 15th century Florence? Why are Altaïr and Ratonhnhaké:ton here too? Is this some kind of hallucination?!
And where the hell is Ezio?!

Summary
No one ever thinks about just how many details there are to sort out after a time traveller (or three!) have landed in your lap.
Giovanni Auditore did not expect to be playing host to three and a half time travellers in his home when he woke up this morning, but that's the current situation he's found himself in. What's worse, neither of the time-displaced assassins speak the same language as him, which only adds an extra layer of complication. But as stressful as it is, he can't exactly just throw them all out onto the street. No, he needs to make sure that they're fed, clothed, and have a safe place to stay where the Templars won't discover them.
The only problem is the mysterious man, Desmond. While Giovanni recognizes that Altaïr and Ratonhnhaké:ton are fellow assassins, after seeing Desmond's glowing skin, Giovanni isn't even sure he's human. And it seems awfully suspicious that Ezio started claiming he'd had a vision of another life the moment Desmond burst into their home and laid his hands on Giovanni's middle son...

Summary
They may all be master assassins, but sometimes it's still nice to relax and unwind with a bottle of wine.
But of course, because they're assassins, they're going to do that on top of a roof. That's...probably fine.
