Faye cleared her throat and his attention snapped back to her. She held her hand out to him and her gaze had a questioning look to it, as if asking permission. He nodded again and, softly, she took his hand in one of hers and placed the fingers of her other over his arm. Logan inhaled sharply. His burnt skin was tender and sensitive, and her fingertips were cold against it. No, not cold, his body was simply still so hot. Faye applied a gentle touch, tracing her fingers over the tapestry of burns along his arm. The friction sent arcs of electricity through him and was coupled with a strange feeling. It was an odd sensation, a tingling that was like the opposite of goosebumps. Looking down at his arm, he saw why. Skin burnt black regaining their color…
