This is an "extra" from the universe of my novel-length Peter/Neal fanfic 'Burned.' This can stand alone so you do NOT need to read 'Burned' to understand it, however, for those of you that have... Here's one way things might have turned out had Neal refused to play his part. Note that I started Burned before we knew anything about Neal's past, so it is canon only up until the third season.
