Summary
The old jeep roaring to life out on the driveway brought Stilinski out of his shock. He stared at the empty plate Stiles had left. He looked down at his own and the precious pile of bacon on it. The events of the previous week hit him like a ton of bricks, stopping all thought, all ability to move, all appetite. Monsters, werewolves, freak storms, magic trees, his son sacrificing his damn young life... all tied together in a neat bow of bacon and Stiles walking out the door for a chem test. The fork clattered to the plate and Stilinski shoved away from the table on an oath.
When had this become his life?

Summary
“Please tell me that while I’ve been sleeping they’ve outlined their entire evil plan and it involves the ultimate destination of Disneyland, wherein they intend to torture us with screaming five-year-olds. Because this does not look good when left to the imagination,” Stiles said. He breathed it more than spoke it, giving kudos to whoever made werewolves that come with super-sensitive hearing. “And my imagination has been online for exactly two minutes already and I’m pretty sure Disneyland is the only possible salvation here.”
“Nobody’s mentioned Disneyland,” said Derek. Somehow, even without adding volume, he managed to sound his usual flat and annoyed. “They’ve mentioned somebody named Hutch and getting paid for turning in an alpha and beta. And the radio said there’s an Amber Alert out for you as of two hours ago.”

Summary
“Remember when you came out here looking for dead bodies?” added Derek.
“Those times were slightly different than this time, when I’m basically asking to become a dead body,” replied Stiles.
“No, you’re asking to set up a meeting between the alpha of the territory and the hunters stupid enough to be in her territory,” said Derek. “You’re the messenger. People don’t shoot messengers.”
Because that was the stupidest thing that had ever crossed Derek Hale’s lips, a shot rang out through the preserve. Because this was Stiles’ life and it never wanted to just go smoothly. He couldn’t just take a walk in the woods and expect that was all that would happen, walking and woodsing. Never that simple. Instead he was suddenly grabbed by the arm and dragged along as Derek and Scott took off running.

Summary
“So what are we doing for Christmas?” asked Allison as she hung a gaudy glittered snowflake the size of her head from the window. Scott lugged another box of decorations into the room and made an annoyed face.
“I’m not sure. Mom said she’s got surprise company coming in, and that could get weird,” he said.
“Weird?” asked Lydia. “Company should not be weird at Christmas. I’ll have to talk to her about her choices.”

Summary
Stiles apparently intended to ignore the rest of the meeting.
“Where were you, anyway?” asked Aiden. “And what’s the stuff on your face?”
“Druids. Evil. Moving on,” returned Stiles without looking up.
“Yeah, that’s the next on my list,” said Melissa. “We’re having a bit of a - let’s call it a Druid problem-” Without moving from his slouch against the couch, Stiles held up a hand to give the woman a sarcastic thumbs-up for the creative label. Melissa hid a grin and moved on. “And Stiles is in the middle of it. So until it’s figured out, he’s on lockdown.”
“Wait, what?” asked Stiles. He sat up, suddenly invested in the meeting again.
“Meaning you go nowhere without one of us with you,” said Stilinski.
“At least until we figure out why we can’t track you,” added Talia. Stiles collapsed back against the sofa again to slowly die of babysitter-inflicted embarrassment instead of Druid-poisoning.

Summary
"I didn't know it would happen!" Stiles couldn't be more sincere in his distress over that.
"So fix this," said his dad. Stiles rolled his eyes.
"Like I know how?" he said. He caught a glare from the unfamiliar and yet well known expression on his father's face and saw that Scott's mom joined in on it. "Come on. What are you going to do about it? Ground me? I'm older than you now."
"Stiles!" Melissa was not amused by the dig and her eyes flashed red. Stiles dodged behind Derek when the werewolf walked back in the room.
"I don't know," spoke up Peter Hale. He spent a lot of time finding reflective surfaces in the house. "High school wasn't that bad of a trip. I could do it again."
"No," said Talia with her usual amount of authority. She looked about as old as Casey now and much more obviously older than her brother. "You will not do high school again."
Peter scoffed at her and rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Anybody wanna play poker?"
