It’s been ten years since the Bad Batch left Hogwarts. Ten years since Crosshair betrayed his friends, accepted the Empire’s offer, and rose to fame as a Quidditch star.
But now, a decade later, everything has changed. Crosshair has vanished from the spotlight, retreating into his lavish estate—and no one knows why.

Crosshair is making progress.
He’s spending more and more time at their place now, and Hunter can’t help but feel hopeful as he watches him in the yard, tossing pluffes into the air while Omega swoops down on her broom, catching them with bright, breathless laughter. And Crosshair laughs too and the sound warms Hunter’s chest. He hasn’t heard it in years.
Crosshair is back. Or almost.
He joins the others again. Sits through meals. Throws in dry, perfectly timed remarks. He’s affectionate in his own quiet way.
But with Hunter, there’s a gentle distance.
They never quite touch. They never stay alone together for long. If they linger too long in each other’s space, it turns awkward, fragile. Hunter wants to close that gap, but he doesn’t know how. He won’t push... he knows Crosshair needs space, needs time, needs control.
And yet, sometimes, Hunter’s afraid he’s lost him in that particular way.
He wants to be satisfied with this.
