Have you seen one?’’ his voice fought against the noise around him as he tried to inquire with Janosh who was busy shifting barrels to open up some space in case they needed to fight in the kitchen. The man looked battered and beaten, blood staining the entirety of his garments. ‘‘What you need flour for, lad? Janosh not has time for baking cake!’’
