Summary
“You don’t know what a sleepover is?!” Luffy grabbed Brook by the shoulders and shook him. “But they’re the best! Everybody sleeps in a pile- it’s the best way to sleep!”
Brook’s thoughts spun even after Luffy had stopped shaking his shoulders. He did his best to collect them. “It’s… and you’re telling me about it?”
Luffy nodded.
Brook opened his mouth, shut it. Tried again. “Why?”
Luffy tilted his head, a furrow appearing between his brows. “Why? Because you have to join us, of course!”

Summary
“Here,” Nami dropped a bag into one of Brook’s hands. “That should be enough.”
“…Enough what?”
“Berry.” Nami raised an eyebrow. “I was out exchanging our treasure for berry, remember?” She grinned with an evil chuckle. “I got a lot for it too.”
“Oh, that’s nice.” Brook shifted the bag in his hand. It was heavy enough for Brook to know it contained a good amount of berries. “Why am I holding some of it?”
“Shopping. Obviously.”
Or: The girls and Brook go on a shopping trip

Summary
[trigger warning for depression/dissociation]
This had happened when he’d been with the Rumbar Pirates too. Days where he found he just didn’t fit right. Like some inhuman thing wrapped too tightly in human skin.
Brook wasn’t bound by flesh and blood any longer, but it had turned out the feeling wasn’t so small as to be limited by something like that. The fifty years he’d spent in the Florian Triangle had more than proven it.
Even free from that place, it seemed the feeling still had a habit of lurking. Of wrapping itself up in his ribs and haunting him like an annoyingly persistent ghost.
Brook had hoped he’d have longer before he was hit with this. He had a new crew. He was happy.
Yet there he was, sitting against one of the walls of the men’s quarters in the dark.
Or: Brook’s not feeling great. Luffy brings him to game night anyway.

Summary
Brook liked to think he was a patient man. He’d waited fifty years in the Florian Triangle, after all. So, he certainly felt he had the credentials for it.
You’d think after so long on his own he would be a champion of patience. But if anything, he just felt worse off than before the Florian Triangle.
Being alone could almost physically hurt sometimes. Spending too long without hearing or seeing his friends would end with him getting lost in his thoughts.
Some days were easier than others. Some days it felt like he couldn’t stay present for the life of him.
Brook would like to be a patient man, though. The situation he had found himself in would certainly be much easier if he was.
Or: The Sunny’s fridge breaks and Brook is put on ‘keep everything cold and unspoiled’ duty. It’s not his favorite thing.

Summary
The inside of the box was full of letters. And smaller packages. And… clothes?
“Hm.”
“Is it a trap?? Oh gosh it is, isn’t it?” Usopp stood on his tiptoes to try and see the contents.
“No, no. It’s…” Brook lifted an envelope from the top of the pile. It was gold with big letters printed on the front. “Fan mail.”
Or: Brook starts receiving fan mail. Surprisingly, this affects more than just him.

Summary
“Your handwriting is terrible.”
“Put me down and I’ll show you something terrible.”
Brook glanced up. Yorki was dangling over the edge of the boat by his ankle. He looked frankly ridiculous, his sleeves stayed on his arms but the rest of his jacket was blowing in the wind under his head. Plus, he was grinning like an idiot.
Brook frowned. “If you really want-”
“You know, I really want my hat back.”
Or: Five times Brook had to pick up/hold Yorki and one time he had to pick up Luffy.

Summary
After joining the Straw Hats, there had been a lot to be excited about. For example, getting access to clothes he hadn’t died in, or getting to eat again. (He didn’t need to eat, but he still could. And Sanji’s food was to die for, even without tastebuds Brook knew he’d never had anything better.)
In the time since joining the Straw Hats Brook had received more love, attention, and acceptance than he’d ever thought would be possible for him again. There was one thing, however, that Brook had expected to experience alongside the Straw Hats by this point.
His birthday.
