Summary
Duncan had recently found out about a Hibernian runaway and his family - or rather, just his daughter - living near Castle Araluen and had him brought in for questioning.
However, the person standing at the castle gates is a small and scared young girl, clutching a bloodied ring and a small stuffed cat.
After some consideration and consulting his advisors, they decide it's best to adopt the young girl while spinning a story to cover the fact that she's not royalty. The people would riot at the decision, regardless, and with the kingdom fresh out of the war with Morgarath, it's not an ideal outcome.

Crowley could've sworn he recognized the young girl, racking his brain to see if he truly did encounter this girl before. He'd been swarmed with so much paperwork lately that even the mere thought of what he had for breakfast that day was hazy. After a few moments of awkward silence, he finally realized where he saw this young girl.
