Summary
Soifon was a strange kid, Kisuke thought, while he wandered around Rukongai.
The way she worshiped Yoruichi was a bit pathetic, if he said so himself. To be fair, it wasn’t like Kisuke had the moral authority to judge her. Not when he was aware enough to admit he was millions of times worse whenever Ichigo was involved.
But again, Ichigo wasn’t Yoruichi.

Summary
Kisuke heard Yoruichi and Kuukaku’s faint giggles. Byakuya’s fake annoyed huff. He could feel Hirako’s weird grin and Hiyori’s confused eye twitch. He particularly heard Central 46’s disapproval, but he paid them no mind.
How could anything matter when Ichigo chose that moment to stand up and offer him his hand? Before he could rationalize it, they were both standing face-to-face, looking at each other.
“Ask me again, Kisuke,” the orange-haired Shiba said softly.
“Please, be my co-lieutenant, beloved,” Kisuke said like a prayer, looking at Ichigo’s eyes. There was something in there that he couldn’t quite place. But it didn’t seem like a denial, so Kisuke’s heart started to beat even faster, if that was possible.
