Summary
The destination he has in mind is unclear — unnamed, yet, more accurately. Jason doesn’t know where he’s going, or what he’s going to do when he gets there. A few hours’ drive just didn’t seem far enough to be away from the expanse of Gotham, not when Bristol itself rolled out several miles around the city proper, so he cranked it up a few hours. Chicago seemed like a far enough place away, until he got onto I-80 and a terror seized him as he remembered Dick had spent a brief stint as an officer in Chicago. So he kept driving west.
Keeps. Keeps driving west. Jason Todd has no idea where he’s going or no idea what he’s going to do when he gets there, but he knows with certainty three things:
Jason Todd is a wanted man.
Jason Todd is the Red Hood.
And Jason Todd absolutely cannot go back home.
***
The one where Jason flees to Montana, hides from his family, and inadvertently finds another.

Summary
Colt brings a hand up to the back of Kacey's neck, slow and telegraphed. His palm is heavy and cool when it lands on him, callouses dragging at the short hairs on the back of his neck. "You wanna figure it out now?" he asks, and Kacey is tipsy enough to laugh nervously. He can't tell if he's too drunk or not drunk enough for this. "You're allowed to try it," Colt tells him mildly. He's still looking at Kacey, head ducked to get their faces closer to each other, the brims of their hats brushing. Over across the field, Goose laughs, catching Kacey's attention like an exposed nail catches a shirtsleeve. He looks out- Goose is winding up for another toss, Laura next to him with her arms folded. He throws- it must be a success, because he jumps into the air and throws his head back cackling a moment before Laura tries to tackle him to the dirt. They wrestle for a moment, Goose's hair long and loose and trailing over his shoulders like water, shining. Kacey loves the way that he moves.
"Yeah," Kacey hears himself say. He pulls his attention back to Colt, whose eyes are still on his face. "Yeah, I… I need to figure it out."
