Summary
Robert hasn't mentioned turning himself in again for over a week, and Aaron would love for that to not feel like a win, but it does. He even suggested that they come down to the Woolie for lunch, an offer so unexpected Aaron had simply blinked at him at first before trying not to sound too enthusiastic as he agreed.
So, now, they're in the pub, Aaron nicking some chips off Robert's plate, Robert pretending not to notice, and it's nice and normal. There's a bunch of Dingles here, Belle, Cain, Sam, Mandy, and they're all being civil, Mackenzie and Matty have joined their table, chatting away, and it really couldn't get much better, Aaron thinks.
That's when the two police officers walk in, and pretty much every villager in the place tenses up.

And what's supposed to happen now, is that Aaron is supposed to take the glass and and the pills and knock them back and lie back down and grumble that he's fine, really, and then drift off to sleep.
What actually happens, is that Aaron's breathing speeds up and he eyes the water warily, looking panicked at the sight of the glass.
"No," he says, voice weak but insistent, as he shifts sluggishly, looking like he's trying to disappear into the pillows. Robert blinks at him.
"Aaron?"
"I don't… I don't want that."

"He's my dad," Liv says, suddenly, looking back at the officer. "You said you wanted to take me down to the station to call my parents, well, there's no need now, because he's my dad and he's here, so."
"Is that right?" the officer sneers at her, the grip on her wrist not loosening at all, and Robert reacts before he thinks it through.
"It is, actually," he says, stepping closer to the two and letting the frustration of the morning seep in to his voice, "and I'd love to know what the hell you think you're doing manhandling my daughter like that?"

"What?!" comes a shriek from the doorway, as Chas is wheeled in by an orderly. Her arm is in a sling, and she looks tired and pissed, and Aaron swears under his breath.
He takes in a breath like he's about to say something, when a doctor comes in behind Chas and reads off a tablet, "Alright then, Mr… Aaron Sugden? I just have a few last notes to go over with you-"
"What?!" this shriek is louder and Robert winces.

Summary
It's not like Robert is unused to headaches. You get hit around the head as often as he does, you become accustomed to a bit of pain. He's also gotten good at hiding them, so good in fact that sometimes he doesn't even realise he has a headache until he stops and thinks about it.
This headache is making itself known. As he walks through the farm, moving buckets of feed from one barn to the other, he tries to catalogue it. Tension headache? No, that would be wrapped around his head like a band. Dehydration? Usually hits him right behind the eyes. Sinus? Would be localised to, well, his sinuses. This is everywhere.
It's everywhere and it's sharp, and his head feels heavy with it, and he can't focus on it.
