Summary
Sakuras trial was the first time he truly allowed fear to creep in. Never in his entire life had his mind failed him in such a way. Byakuya is nothing if not calculated but up until then that had never been the wrong approach.
Now, he held the stale library air in his lungs for three agonizing seconds before releasing it in a slow, silent exhale. He still refused to look at Makoto.
"It’s pathetic!" He turned away slightly. "It defies every law of logic! And yet, you stand there completely unwavering, while I am watching you excel in a reality that should have crushed you weeks ago! So tell me! What the fuck makes you so goddamn special!"
AKA Makoto runs into Byakuya in the Library after Sakuras trial and is confronted.

Summary
At a terminal, Byakuya’s fingers shot across his keyboard with a rhythmic, urgent speed. On the screen, a red progress bar was bleeding backward, reflecting crimson light onto their faces.
Beside him, Makoto leaned in, squinting at the rapidly scrolling lines of corrupted code.
AKA Byakuya and Makoto are trying to do damage control after the directory of including all records of the Togami lineage are deleted. The stress gets to be too much and Byakuya’s feelings reach a boiling over point.
