Summary
It's all fun and games to have a crush on the quirky mechanical man until he sacrifices your charge and you stop being a voice in the kid's head.
Or the Guardian Angel tries to figure life out when they find the ascension of the Bride has, in fact, saved everyone - including themself. Mellow may be alive and safe now, but can they forgive the Surgeon for what they did? Or worse, what they themself did...? Where can they all even go from here?
And why is life so much harder with a physical body?

Summary
Mellow has gone home, and home was not God. The Guardian Angel lost its charge, and is desperate to fill the hole he left. The Surgeon has lost their purpose, and fights not to make the same mistake twice. The Bride has the weight of the world on their shoulders, but stop its angel from chasing dark things.
Further thoughts and stories beyond the end of Who Brings the Lamb & Who Brings the Knife, in which the Angel and the Surgeon death spiral around each other in this world where neither of them should have made it out in the first place.
Tags will be updated as fic goes, fic will largely be in 'chronological' order but does not have a actual through line/end point like previous fic did.
