Summary
The war’s done a number on Collins, that’s easy enough to see. There’s an angry burn scar, raised and jagged, running down his jaw and sneaking under his loose collar that hangs limply off his thin frame.
He still takes Farrier’s breath away.
(Farrier travels to the Highlands after the war to return something beloved to Collins. He has an overnight train back to London, but he ends up finding a reason to stay.)
