Summary
(Prequel to 'The Candle Fic', wherein Jason and Vaas are a happily married, antagonistic couple working for Hoyt's huge resort/vacation conglomerate.)
This spans Jason's arrival to Rook, his and Vaas' contentious first meeting (wherein Grant does not die, but does get laid out), Jason's moving into Vaas' place, Jason's (occasionally purposeful) thirst traps for his roommate, and their first time falling into bed together.
ORVaas' ridiculous new roommate walks around in his very well-fitted underwear, trots around after him like a neglected puppy, always seems to be drinking beverages in the most suggestive manner possible, and is suddenly sporting the absolute most attractive beard he has ever seen.
Living with Carlos had never been so complicated.

Jason essentially double-dog dares Vaas to marry him and Vaas calls him on his bluff (and then they actually have to plan the wedding, it turns out).

Chuckling, Vaas hands the envelope back over to Jason, who has finally caught up with the program, eyes riveted on the lower left corner of the plain piece of stationary.
“Oh,” he says, again, not entirely on purpose as the microwave goes off somewhere in the distance.
His fingers smooth over the rounded, paper borders to the little cellophane rectangle that shows his mailing info on the letterhead underneath. Printed in plain, black typeface, just above their bungalow’s address are the words ‘Jason Montenegro’.
