Something old that he doesn’t know the name of, where the lyrics have fallen from his mind like sand in an hourglass. Heeseung thinks of the tractor in the far paddock that broke down while cutting hay, and the odd squeal the Ute makes when he changes gears.
He doesn’t think about how empty the house is and how the air has become stale in some of the upstairs rooms. He keeps those doors shut anyway–it doesn't exist when he can’t see it. And he certainly doesn’t think about the single dirty dish in his sink. It doesn’t mean anything.or
