Різдво не приходить — воно врізається, вимагає радості, залишає після себе безлад, втому й дивне бажання вимкнути світло, гірлянди й усіх людей одразу. А може це не зовсім те Різдво? Можливо, все це — лише шум на поверхні. А справжнє приходить інакше. Воно не стукає у двері, а закрадається в щілини твого серця тоді, коли ти сам цього не помічаєш – між втомою і тишею, між кожним подихом. Коли повітря стає м’якшим, ніби хтось накрив реальність тонкою вуаллю, а світло тьмяніє, не зникає. Воно мерехтить у вікнах, нагадуючи: хтось чекає. Навіть якщо ти не знаєш — хто саме. Різдво – схоже на сон, у якому ти не тікаєш і не поспішаєш. Наче хтось торкається твоєї душі й каже: ти можеш відпочити. Тут не потрібно бути сильним, дозволяють бути справжнім. Адже лише у снах ми можемо бути відвертими перед собою. У цьому світі тебе приймають без умов, вимог, гучних обіцянок. Сон, який варто лише впустити у себе. Повірити у нього. І, можливо, коли ти прокинешся — світ буде тим самим, але ти вже ні.

The Franklin Heights Apartment Complex doesn’t show up on city maps, and for good reason: its residents are nine-to-eleven-foot-tall anthros hiding within its walls, surviving on forged paperwork and harshly enforced secrecy.
It's worked for them so far... Until a human female ends up following a resident in, leading to her being tangled in bungee cords on a beanbag chair, surrounded by towering foxes, bears, cats and more all debating what to do with her, since, obviously, they can't just let her leave.
