Summary
Lucy could see three figures opposite them, but that was all she could see. The sun hung low in the sky directly behind them, molding them into thin simple shadows and blinding her in the process. She squinted against the light and managed to point her gun in the direction of one of them. From what she heard, The Ghoul pointed two revolvers towards the others, who both had their guns pointed at him. This stalemate was spiraling down towards a less than savory ending, but Lucy could still try mediating the situation.
Or: Lucy MacLean and the Ghoul bond over their time in the wasteland and look for Hank MacLean because they both want questions answered. Neither of them really knows how in god's name they went from reluctantly working together to becoming friends, but neither is complaining (too much). Both are more than aware how valuable a friend is in the wasteland. Also, Dogmeat!!

Lucy’s whole body went rigid, jaw twitching as she crushed the cigarette into the stone, the still-glowing embers crackling against the tips of her nerve-damaged fingers. Max sensed that he’d overstepped, but he kept on anyway.
“It’s been four years, L-” He caught himself before he let the name slip again, leaning in, his voice low. “If he wanted to find you, he would have done it by now.”
