Summary
While on a solo flight, Alec finds himself captured and taken through a portal to one of Valentine’s many bonding camps. There, he finds himself clinging to his mate-bond to survive what the Circle puts him and the others dragons through. He also finds himself making a connection with another dragon, and with the very last person he thought he'd ever find in a place like this. When a rescue comes, it brings with it not only freedom, but also a chance at everything Alec's ever wanted wrapped up in one tiny, snarky little package.

No one could ever accuse life in the New York Institute of being dull.
After everything Alec went through during “Gabriel’s Gift” he hoped for the chance to get at least a small chance at peace. A little time to adjust to the major changes he’d gone through and figure out some sort of plan going forward. He didn’t expect it, but he’d hoped for it.
Unfortunately, life proved once again that it waited for no one. Alec and the others barely had time to adjust to all the recent changes before life threw itself at them again and reminded them all of what exactly was at stake here. There was a reason Alec had been brought back, after all, and it wasn’t one that was willing to wait quietly on the sidelines while he learned what it meant to be an angel.
Between learning what it means to be an angel, adjusting to his new powers, facing off against the latest evil, and meeting a couple new siblings he hadn’t quite planned for, life is more than a little chaotic. It’s going to take everyone for them to come up with some sort of plan. Hopefully, before it’s too late.
