Summary
I wrote this little story a long time ago, as Nancy goes to The Oberland, and it was just a spin off from a comment in Kathy Ferrars joins a Social Network. I’ve often wondered how the next few years would go for this version of Nancy and Nell, whether they could get past their insecurities, and whether this Nancy would still end up with Kathy, and how Nell would feel about that or how Nell or Nancy would feel once Hilda was back nearby again.
Also interesting to explore a bit more the idea that Nell moving to the Overland was due to an issue between her and Hilda and explore them rebuilding trust over time.
For now it is a similar start to the original though adjusted, tidied up, filled out, but if all goes to plan it is going to be different to the one I posted before, although similar to begin with. I have a few ideas that I hope to have some time soon to follow through and add to the story. I originally had this in the Filespace universe, however this remake is in it’s own universe now, so I am not sure where things will go or what the future holds for this pair.
Finally this isn’t mature in an over 18 way, but is F/F slash so if you don’t like that it’s probably not something you would enjoy!

This was a story originally posted mostly on Sally Denny, and then partly lost. I’m posting it here from the file I have found, but there may eventually be a little bit I’ll add in at the start, where Nell takes a tired Hilda to a secret room in Howells, however I can’t find that right now. Rest of it is I think ok. This was written a long time ago so some bits are not quite how I would now, but I’d be sad to lose it, so am posting. This was originally written under my Tom ID, so it isn’t in the same universe as any of the other Beecharmer Chalet School drabbles.

Inspired by very nearly watching the film Ammonite for the first time with many members of the family present. Thankfully for all concerned we watched it ourselves first before suggesting it to all and sundry…
I then couldn’t help imagining some of the rather conservative people we see fossiling and volunteering at Charmouth and Lyme fossil centres boasting proudly about how they helped with research for the film, then watching it as a group and getting perhaps a bit more education than they bargained for…
If you haven’t seen the film, the wikipedia definition and trailer is somewhat tame compared to the actual version. This is no ‘oh I have a near platonic love for you my mentor and go swimming with you in a flowy dress’ film, it is definitely, in no doubt about it, two people enjoying F/F sex very very very much.
You don’t need to have seen Ammonite to enjoy this drabble though, you can just use your imagination about what the film scenes might have been like…
