What happens when a time looper becomes a time traveler. Instead of Loop going to Siffrin’s timeline at the start of their loops. They instead end up going to the start of his journey. all the way back on that fateful day when he woke up on a boat on the coast of Bambouche. Throw in a neat little memory wipe and a “back to your old form” and you get what can only be described as a twin brother who you never knew existed.
this is a rewrite of my other work by the same name, hence the (old) and (new) things I added. I will eventually delete the old one, the only reason it's still up is so you lovely readers can compare the two. if you want to that is. these two are so far removed from each other that you could genuinely mistake the fics for two different ones with the same concept. because they are. that's why I'm going to delete the other one.

Refused to use their name unless the situation called for it. A name that once belonged to you, stripped and torn away by the Universe’s teeth, and handed to someone else, still bloody from its maw. You called him stardust, but maybe it was a name that described you better. You were what was left behind; everything else moved forward without you. The script was stolen from your hands and shoved into your understudy’s chest while you were cast from the stage.
And you welcomed the fall from the stage! You felt relief in the descent before the crack of your spine on the ground. Before the metaphorical shoe dropped. Before you bled out before the audience, while they cheered and threw flowers at the surviving cast.

Siffrin's overjoyed to be home and wants to show his family everything, and the longer they stay there the more memories he regains, but they can't stay on a lost island forever. Sooner or later, they have to go back out to sea.
Question is: will Siffrin follow them, or decide to stay where he belongs?
