Meio ano se passou desde que Sonic desapareceu sem deixar rastro. Tails encontra uma pista, mas decide que apenas ele, Amy e Knuckles serão os únicos a ir atrás de respostas sobre o paradeiro de Sonic, para que Tom e Maddie não entrem em perigo. Mas o que Tails não esperava é que eles também desapareceriam sem deixar rastro por um mês. Assim, Tom e Maddie não têm escolha a não ser pedir ajuda aos seus ex-inimigos, que inesperadamente haviam se tornado amigos.
Nem todos os caminhos levam a respostas, mas todos levam a perguntas sem resposta , nessa aventura onde eles terão que trabalhar juntos para descobrir a verdade por trás dos desaparecimentos e dos mistérios, no processo terão que aprender a descobrir em quem podem confiar , antes que tudo acabe ruínas ou talvez desde o início já estivesse.

Shadow meets Sonic when he wakes up from his stasis, but Sonic is a G.U.N. experiment and Shadow finds himself infatuated with him. To the point where he finds himself putting his plan of revenge for Maria on hold, unwilling to sacrifice the courageous and daring hedgehog who attempted to protect Shadow even when he himself looked scared out of his mind.
If only there was a way to help Sonic without playing right into G.U.N.'s hands and going back to being their lab rat alongside a collared companion...
Or
Sonic and Shadow both end up as G.U.N. experiments after Shadow's years in stasis. But at least they have each other, right?

“You got your replacement of Alex, good for you, but why take in two more?” Sonic’s eyes widen, and dread claws at his throat. His mouth falls open, and he gasps for air, mind hung up on one single word.
Replacement.
To his horror, no reply comes from his mother as he prays, begs that she… she tells Rachel she is wrong, couldn’t be more wrong. Even a single no will do, and he oh so impatiently awaits it, but all his ears pick up are silent sobs. Sonic heard it once from a movie that silence is a form of confirmation, an acceptance. That the ones who are aware that something is not right shouldn’t stay silent. Only cowards do that.
And if Sonic knows one right thing, one thing that got confirmed right in front of his eyes a thousand times, it’s that his parents aren’t cowards.
But are they... his parents? Is Sonic their son, really? Or a poor excuse of a son in place of someone who once was?
