It’s been 25 years since the remaining members of The Unsinkable 8, along with the boys were rescued from the islands and the bunker. Gretchen and her team were never found. Neither was Nora. Toni somewhat kept in touch with the girls over the years but hasn’t seen Shelby since she went home. Nobody has. So when Toni’s daughter brings home a friend from college during Christmas break that looks exactly like Shelby, it brings back a lot of old memories she kept to herself. Especially when the girl’s mother turns out to be none other than Shelby Goodkind.

The phone rings just one time before Fatin answers.
“Leah?” She asks, a little panic in her voice.The sound of Fatins voice is enough to send Leah over the edge and now she’s crying.
“I n-n-need you.” She forces out.
“I’m coming.” Fatin says, no questions asked. “I’ll stay on the phone the whole time.”
Leah can hear Fatin quickly pull on what’s probably a big hoodie and some shorts and her stomping down the stairs, with zero hesitation. Her keys jingle and a door slams.
“Okay I’m in the car. I’ll be there soon.”
