Hurrem felt her eyes water and her hold on her son tightened, “This child will be cared for and brought up in the best way possible.” Valide didn’t hesitate at all, this was how it would be done. The child would stay here, away from the lunatic.
Hurrem shook her head; this was her son. She didn’t care what this dreadful woman said, part of the dynasty? He wasn’t just part of the dynasty; he was a part of her and a part of the man she loved. All instincts in her cried for her to just run with him, run to his majesty and beg for him to drill some sense into his mother.
“Don't cry like a little village girl.” Her words held not an ounce of mercy, “take her away. Leave Mehmet here. She is not intelligent enough to entrust with a child.”

Summary
