After 200 years of a lonely existence, Henry had come across an equal, someone who could understand. The problem was, that that someone was Adam and, though Henry wasn't a psychologist, he felt confident enough to label him clinically insane. Finding out the only other immortal is an "unkillable psychopath" (Abe's words, not mine) was, let's say, a tad disappointing.

Summary
During the episode, “The Frustrating Thing about Psychopaths” (S01/E06), Henry had consulted a notebook of clues he’d compiled while he’d been a consultant on the Jack the Ripper case back in 1880s London. In the episode, Jo saw him with the small notebook. Even though it doesn’t show that Hanson also saw it, we can assume that he knew about it. When Hanson had asked if they’d “ever caught the guy”, Henry had told him no. This story is a sequel to and takes place a few months after their foray backwards into time in McSorley Memories.
