Atop the Archon's Roost, a knight had lost everything and everyone he held dear. So close does he fall into despair. So close to just losing his faith. Nothing for him but an empty throne waiting for someone to take on great power, to unleash hate... but with great power comes a need to undo what was done. A need to turn back time, reclaim what he lost and never lose it again. He will not take on a role he never wanted, no matter how much fate will push against him. Odio is defeated, Oersted has moved on, and the seven heroes are living their lives the best they can.
Unfortunately, Oersted's warnings come true. Anyone can become a demon lord so long as there is hatred in their heart.
And in the afterlife, Streibough, unable to come to terms with his sins, has become a perfect vessel for hatred and vengeance. The tangeled web he weaved brought a spider into his ear, whispering words that will let him be brought back from the dead to bring about vengeance.
Of course, for this to happen, a price has to be paid. For one to live, one must die.
And the person who takes Streibough's place is some insignificant person in the grand scheme of things.
