Summary
This is my first ever fanfiction-- it is a reflection on the real events, as well as the first book of Pat Barker's Regeneration Trilogy. It is a lot to do with coping with trauma and real emotions. I really love the poetry by WWI soldiers, veterans, sisters, mothers, and wives, so I am paying tribute to them.

It was not ideal; Wilfred knows that. But few things were in 1917.

With condescension coming down benign,
And blessing all the field and air with gold,
Then the contentment of the world was mine.' -

Summary
Owen accepted that his poetry wouldn’t be what it was without Sassoon’s input. However, he sometimes found himself feeling that what they had produced by the end of an evening was like a union of them both. No. Owen smiled slightly.
No, he supposed he didn’t mind the idea of that at all.

"Do you know, you never talk about the future any more? Yes, I know what you're going to say. How can you? Sass, we sat on a hill in France and we talked about the future. We made plans. The night before the Somme, we made plans. You couldn't do that now. A few shells, a few corpses, and you've lost heart." - Robert Graves in Pat Barker's 'Regeneration'.
