Summary

Lando is struggling to adapt to the lifestyle though, feeling like he's unable to live up to his families legacy. While trying to take down a group of vampires a major event happens that is a turning point for Lando, and in the fallout he's forced too step up and take control of his families legacy.
Along the way a vampire grows obsessed with him, and he's slowly got to come to terms with the fact that he too is falling for the enemy. Will he be able to look past everything he's known about vampires, or will he grow even more resentful in the process?

Ollie swallowed.
The officer raised an eyebrow. "Monsters?" He said the word almost mockingly. Like it was something ridiculous. Something children made up. "That's your story?"
Ollie nodded quickly. His throat felt dry.
"Say, Ollie..." The officer picked up one of the papers on the desk. "How old are you?"
"Fourteen." His voice was tiny. It sounded even smaller in the room.
The officer paused. "Fourteen." He repeated it slowly. Then he glanced back at the photographs scattered across the desk. "And you really think a monster did that?" His finger tapped one of the pictures.
Ollie didn't look. He couldn't. He had already seen enough. The room. The blood. The bodies.
He knew what had happened.
But looking at those photographs somehow made everything feel real in a way that his own memory hadn't.

Max’s eyes stayed on the young lad who was passionately talking, his lips a beautiful shade of pink, his curls moving gently in the garage’s open air, while his eyes were a striking blue, focused at the screen ahead of him. The feed then supplied the audio of Lewis’ radio.
“Lewis, the wind is picking up in the upcoming laps.”
Another British man in the Mercedes garage, of course. Shouldn’t be a surprise to Max, but the actual surprise was seeing such a striking man behind the desk and not on a billboard somewhere.

With Lando racing for McLaren and Oscar on the Mercedes team, the rivalry between them only seems to intensify with each point.
After a disappointing race result and a few too many drinks, Lando accidentally posts a tweet targeted at Oscar. Having created a bad look for himself and McLaren in the process, public relations comes in to clean up Lando's mess.
Unfortunately for Lando, this means he'll have to put on a show for the media, pretending Oscar is one of his "close friends," and making the post seem like a simple misunderstanding.
Spending time with his rival is the last thing Lando wants to do.
Even worse, feeling something more.

“Well, wrecked is a pretty good word to describe someone who just had an accident.” He tries to joke, but all he gets in return is a smack to the head. Max moves closer and tilts his neck until his face is against the other man’s neck, pressing a kiss there just to annoy him.
