So before Tales From Shadowhunter Academy came out I totally headcanoned that at some point the clave was gonna be like “So we don’t want Simon to ascend because he used to be a downworlder and we don’t know what effects that will have on his ascension also because he’s getting to be too old and also we’re super prejudice.” Robert goes to New York to break the news but Isabelle is too smart to fall for this crap and Jace refuses to pass up the opportunity for shenanigans.
