Summary
Rejection was always something that was bound to sting, no matter how ready you are for it or not.
It’s sting hurts even worse when it comes from someone you consider a safe space, the curse of rejection digging into the victims skin and dragging them down into the water filled of guilt and sorrow,
to drown in there own despair.
Rae has been a victim of rejection more times then she could count, no longer expecting anyone to return her feelings and was content on just sticking by there side.
So why did this rejection sting as badly as it did?
Why did it feel like someone was ripping out her heart from her chest and squeezing the precious organ?
Or
A ‘what if’ excuse to write omegaverse for this show, based on if the scales of love scenario never happened and Rae went into heat really early due to the fight provoking such strong emotions.
Plus it was an excuse to write caretaker fluff of the Bauer siblings taking care of a sick rae, take it or leave it.
