Not all proxies were open to recruitment in the first place. Being dragged to some decrepit mansion filled with deranged murderers and monsters, then being forced to kill random people in the name of some tall, faceless cryptid, isn't exactly the 'ideal life'. It's best to try and escape while you still have your sanity, your sense of self, and determination, before it's ripped out of your mind. It leaves you as some husk, a puppet on a string.

'I've worked at 'Unusual and Unknow Entities Archives' for nearly 4 years now. When I got my degree in English I did not expect to land a job in an off the grid entity, not SCP Foundation or Government organised. Just 100 or so people writing articles for the public and a handful of hackers keeping us out of sight of anyone who isn't just the joe public. 2 years ago at 23 and newly on the articles team, I didn't expect to be given a case like this. Entity 78, also know as Tall man within the articles team, is a case I wish I had never been given but at the same time would smack my past self if I didn't take it. My life went from 0 to a 100 real quick and never seemed to stop changing. But then again I wouldn't have had it any other way.'

Quick few things, some of the mental illnesses and disorders the reader has are me projecting as said in the tags. The reader will have the inattentive type of ADHD and alexithymia is a loosely translated Greek word to 'no words for emotions'. This means the reader will struggle to understand and emote emotions.
